ABOUT RAIN

ABOUT RAIN

Rescued Animals In Need began almost 40 years ago when a group of ladies in the Green Street Green area of Kent wanted to help local animals.

MORE ABOUT RAIN

It took a good deal of work but the organisation became a charity in 1986 and we have helped hundreds of animals across Sevenoaks and South East London over the decades.
RAIN has close links to the community, and we work with social workers, mental health teams and housing associations, as well as giving talks to local groups and clubs about our work.
Animals come to us in all kinds of circumstances, including:
Strays
Pets left with vets after an accident
Neglected animals
Pets that need new homes when an elderly relative dies or moves into a care home
When people need to give animals up due to a change in family circumstances
We are 100% volunteer-led, so if you wish to donate money to help our important work, contact us now.

NEUTERING

There are a huge number of unwanted cats so we always neuter them before they get rehomed.
We can help pet owners of dogs, rabbits and cats with the cost of neutering. In just one example, we had to neuter 70 cats before rehoming them, so this shows just how important our work is.
